Seven Week Festival Features New Attractions and Family Fun Throughout the City
Philadelphia – Today, Philadelphia kicked off the Philly Holiday Festival, a seven-week-long celebration of holiday events and activities across the city, including a dazzling new 40-foot tree at City Hall.
From mid-November through the New Year, families and visitors can welcome Santa during the Thanksgiving Day Parade, participate in tree-lighting ceremonies, shop for gifts at one-of-a-kind stores and boutiques, dine out, and be dazzled by holiday light displays. Rounding out the year are two spectacular fireworks displays at Penn’s Landing.
The Philly Holiday Festival is a partnership between the City of Philadelphia, Office of the City Representative, Welcome America, Inc., VisitPhilly, 6abc and the Center City District. A full calendar of events is available here and at www.visitphilly.com.
