On Sunday, April 27, the Republic of Vietnam Freedom and Heritage Flag Monument was dedicated at the Memorial by the Vietnamese communities of Philadelphia. The granite monument, which symbolizes the joint sacrifice of the Armed Forces of South Vietnam and United States, stands between the U.S. Flag and SVN flag on the south side of the Memorial grounds. Local Vietnamese raised more than $75.000 to complete the monument. The ceremony also observed the fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975.rn
