These events mark the first day of Education Week—a series of education-related events throughout the city hosted by the Mayor’s Office.rnrn“As we begin a new school year, our children need all of the encouragement we can provide as they begin their first day of classes. School is challenging, and parental involvement plays a critical role in a student’s success. When our children work hard, they need to know that their parents fully support them,†said Mayor Nutter. “I want to encourage all parents—who are able to—to take their children to school when classes begin and to try as often as possible to take them throughout the school year. It is every parent’s responsibility to support their child’s education and to support them as they reach their full potential.â€rnMayor Nutter will attend the following education events on Tuesday 7 September:rnrn7:00 AM Mayor Nutter to participate in 2010 National Million Father MarchrnMayor Nutter to deliver remarks.rnPhiladelphia fathers will walk with students to Guion S.
