MAYOR NUTTER ENCOURAGES RESIDENTS TO WEAR ORANGE AND BLACK ON WEDNESDAY AND SUPPORT THE PHILADELPHIA FLYERS

Philadelphia, May 11, 2010 – As playoff fever continues to rise, Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter is encouraging residents throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region to wear orange and black in support of the Flyers’ relentless pursuit of the Stanley Cup on Wednesday, May 12, as the Flyers and Boston Bruins meet in Game Six of the Eastern Conference Semifinals at the Wachovia Center at 8 PM.rnrn“This is an incredibly big game for the Flyers and for our City,” said Mayor Nutter. “We would like all residents throughout the region to support the Flyers and wear their orange and black to work or to school on Wednesday and cheer the Flyers on to victory.”rnrnCity employees, businesses, and students throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region are encouraged to support the Flyers and wear orange and black.
