Our annual fundraiser is coming up and in the past we have hosted our annual hallmark event, the Love Festival, which celebrates and recognizes the strength of families as cornerstones of strong communities. This year, we are doing something a bit different.rnrnThis year a team of committed board members and volunteers have been working very hard to bring a very unique photo exhibition to the Greater Philadelphia area. This year, BPSOS-Delaware Valley is bringing the “Exit Saigon, Enter Little Saigon†photo exhibition to our city for the first time!rnrnThe “Exit Saigon†exhibition is part of the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Program in Washington, D.C. and has travelled throughout the United States. “Exit Saigon†tells the story of how the Vietnamese community adapted to life in the United States where, amongst the struggle for equality and acceptance, Vietnamese Americans have maintained their linguistic, cultural, and religious traditions. Housed at the Asian Arts Initiative on 12th and Vine St, the exhibition will be open free to the public for 8-weeks from April 6th through June 1st, 2012.rnrnWe aim to reach 1,500 Vietnamese community members as well as members of the broader community through this exhibition. We hope that by bringing this exhibition to our city, we will engage members in our community in important discussions about our shared history, culture, and struggles and triumphs in resettlement in the United States.rnrnBecome a Supporter today by donating $50 here. rnrnPlease click on this link to make your tax-deductible donation.
