(Philadelphia, November 7, 2016) – Mayor Jim Kenney and City Solicitor Sozi Pedro Tulante remind Philadelphia voters of a host of election day resources provided by various city agencies for basic voting information, and for reporting any issues.
“We have great confidence that the City Commissioners will ensure a smooth voting process tomorrow,” said Solicitor Tulante. “At the same time, I want to remind voters that the Administration, the Law Department, the Commissioners, and the District Attorney’s Office are working cooperatively to respond to any questions or concerns that may arise.”
Resources:
Look up your voter registration status here.
Find your polling place here.
The Philadelphia City Commissioners’ website – www.philadelphiavotes.com — can answer many of your questions, including:
Finding your polling place
Polling place accessibility (including ADA compliance)
Information on absentee ballots or provisional ballots
Help for voters with limited English proficiency
Viewing sample ballots
Reporting Problems:
If you have any issues at the polls (such as questions about poll locations or registration), please contact the City Commissioners’ Voter Hotline: 215-686-1590.
To report any election concerns (such as allegations of illegal voting, candidate write-in issues, intimidation or illegal electioneering) please contact the District Attorney’s Election Fraud Task Force: 215-686-9641, 9643, 9644.
“Last week, at the Cecil B. Moore Free Library, Congressman John Lewis reminded us how important our right to vote is,” said Mayor Kenney. “He said the vote is precious, almost sacred. So tomorrow exercise your most important right as a citizen – make your voice heard by voting.”
Polls are open in Philadelphia 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Remember, if you are in line by 8pm, you must be allowed to vote.
Finally, show off your civic pride on social media — take post-voting selfies outside of your polling place with the “I Voted” sticker and tweet them to @PhiladelphiaGov using #PhillyVotes. Remember – no photography, selfies or otherwise, inside the polling place.
